Supervision of District Heating Networks
Project Downloads
Objective
The objective of this task was to develop methods which inform the operators of heat distribution networks about the status of pipes and facilitate planning of service and maintenance on the network. These methods were based on the quantitative interpretation of thermographically obtained information on temperature distribution at the ground-surface.
Results
The results from this project are available in a report which covers the following:
- Heat transfer from buried pipes
- The simulation program
- TX measurements on test fields
- The advanced heat loss interpretation model
- The range of applicability of the model
- Comparison of different methods for determination of heat losses from pipes
- Conclusions and recommendations
